Pray and Never Lose Heart
I desire many things in this life, but instead of focusing on the vastness of my wants, God has taught me how important my needs are. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). God has promised to meet our needs. Our necessities are what we should pray for in faith. When you do, sit back and watch, wait, and be prepared to receive what God decides to do for you. Above all my physical blessings, I need a stronger and deeper relationship with God.
To have a deeper relationship with God, like any other area of achievement, I must do what many people refuse to do to obtain success. Never assume anything was handed down to someone or speculate that things come easy to the one who excels. To know God is more valuable than knowing men and women in power and high places. There is no power greater than God and no one higher than Him. “The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1).
A deep relationship with God requires us to break down all barriers in our lives and become more intimate and less casual with God. Even the most introverted or solitary man has someone he talks to that keeps him going. God encourages us to communicate with Him always. “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1). This text speaks of how you and I will spend a lifetime praying. Realize that prayer life is one of the highest necessities because it keeps you connected to God. There is always something to pray for. If you are not praying for your needs, pray for the needs of those in your life.
What sacrifices do you make to maintain your essential services, including the internet that keeps you connected to the world? Do what many are unwilling to do because they have convinced themselves they are too busy and tired. Some have convinced themselves that there is no God. It will keep you hopeful as you remember that God is not like men. He respects, cherishes, and loves His creation in you.
